Hello! I’m Beryl Poskey. I’m an artist, wife, mom, and former teacher.
Where It All Started
I grew up drawing, but it wasn’t until I met another artist who inspired me that I took my art to the next level and started creating art for others. Now, I am 17 years in and still strive to learn more and grow as an artist.
What I Love About Art
I love the challenge of creating realistic art and capturing life in a moment. After finishing a piece, I love seeing my client’s reaction to seeing it completed for the first time.
Art is also therapeutic, not only for me, the artist, but it can also be for the client. The art I create captures precious moments and memories that are meaningful to the client, whether it be celebrating an anniversary, a loved one or pet, or even a special place. The drawing that was most therapeutic for me was of my daughter who passed away before her birth. Drawing and capturing her beauty gave me a way to process it but it also gave me a way to honor her. Her drawing hangs proudly in my home.
Each piece of art I do, I put a verse alongside my signature. Sometimes customers have one in mind but most of the time I find one that tells the story behind the piece.
These Days
When I am not drawing or painting, I am spending time with my family, friends, and in God’s great nature. I am blessed to share life at home with my husband Tray, son Axton, and dog Marvel. I am looking forward to raising my family, making memories together, and spending more time creating art.
